DON’T forget, Medicare now rebates up to 12 sessions per year for people with a diagnosed mental disorder. after six sessions.
Patients seeing a clinical psychologist will receive $110 rebate for a one hour session (our cost $145 upfront). Patients seeing a registered psychologist will receive $75 rebate (our cost $110 upfront). To be eligible for the rebate, patients will need to be referred by a GP in the context of a GP Mental Health Care Plan (Item # 2710), or by a psychiatrist or paediatrician.
